Camera Equipment

There are several main pieces of equipment I plan to use in the filming of my short film.

This is the camera I am going to use to film my short film. It is the canon 550D DSLR. I have chosen to use this as it can film in HD and also using different lenses I will be able to create a wide range of focus changes and shots.

I am also going to use this shoulder mount. I will use this to steady my camera when I do certain panning movements.

DIary 08/02/12

This week in media I have continued my search for locations to use and props to use. I have however found the actors/actresses who are going to play a part in my short film. I have also been practicing filming some of the camera techniques I intend to use. This is in order to ensure that I have fully mastered them so that it can be done at its best in the final piece.

Short Film Theorists

Diary 04/02/12

I have spent the last few days doing research into creating my short film. This has involved considering which actors/actresses, locations and props I am going to use in the short. I am still considering which actual locations. actors/actresses and props I am going to use however I have shortlisted most things and will be deciding at a later date. I also spent a day drawing up story boards for my short film. This gave me a good rough idea of how exactly I am going to film it and what sorts of locations and props I will need. Hopefully this means I will be able to start filming in the half term next week. This will then enable me to spend the rest of the school year editing and producing the final piece.
